Board and train

Board and train is where your dog can come and stay with us to be trained. This program is nice for people who are too busy to do the homework of private lessons, their dog has serious behavior problems, or just looking to advance your dogs training and want to have the professionals do it! Our board and train programs are set apart from others. We want the owners to be involved, see their dog throughout the program, love on their dog, and stay up to date on their dogs training progress. The more that we can work with the owners before their dog goes home, the more successful the process will be.  We do not set time limits and will keep your dog until we are confident that the training is solid enough to send the dog back home. This means whatever price we agree on in the beginning is the same price if it takes 3 weeks or 8 weeks.

As with any Training, there will still be maintenance training after your dog comes home. They will not come home a robot and you will still need to work with your dog daily to ensure they maintain their training. This is why we want the owners to be involved in the process, even when we have the dog. The more that we can teach the owners during this time, the more educated the owners will be when their dog comes home. They will still be a dog and want to do dog things! The follow-up training when your dog comes back home is just as important to maintain. See below our different types of programs

 When is the best time to start training your puppy? RIGHT NOW! This puppy program covers socialization, kennel training, potty training, obedience foundation and basic manners. The goal of this program is to give your puppy a solid foundation for future training. Your puppy will be STARTED on behaviors such as: sit, down, stay, heel, come, place, and kennel. 

The most important part about this program is the positive socialization and exposure around new people, places, sights, sounds, surfaces and animals. We want your puppy to be a confident and well-socialized dog for life!

This program lasts 3-4 weeks and is available for puppies 8-19 weeks of age. 

As with any Training, there will still be maintenance training after your dog comes home. They will not come home a robot and you will still need to work with your dog daily to ensure they maintain their training.

3+ weeks

 The Board and Train package is completely custom. It can cover anything from Basic Obedience, refresher training, behavior modification for aggressive dogs, or Advanced off leash obedience. I do not set time limits on the dogs in training. I will make an estimate on how long I think it will take me to train the dog but I will keep them longer if needed. Every dog is different and I will not recommend the dog go home until the training is solid. Our programs are a little different because I want the owners to still be involved. I want the owners to see and work with the dog throughout the training program to make sure that they are happy with the dogs progress. The owner will receive frequent updates, have 1-2 halfway training session, a go home session, and 1-2 follow up sessions to guarantee the owner and dog are doing well with their maintenance training.   This is the most in depth training package and is recommended for dogs with major behavior issues or for owners that have very little time to train their dog. Maintenance training after the dog is home is easier than breaking bad habits and teaching new ones (what private lessons require). This program is not for "bad dogs", it can be for normal dogs that have a busy human.  As with any Training, there will still be maintenance training after your dog comes home. They will not come home a robot and you will still need to work with your dog daily to ensure they maintain their training.
